Battery problem after UEFI update

After I installed the recent UEFI update, my Battery 1 (keyboard base) is no longer recognized and keeps reporting 0%, not charging. I've tried removing the tablet and plugging the base in alone - still it doesn't seem to charge and reports the same once I remount the tablet.

Is there anything I can do to get more info or try to get the base battery to register? Has anyone else had a similar experience? It's only been a problem for a day since I installed that update.

UPDATE:
It turns out neither of my batteries will charge since the update. I can only use my SB when it's plugged in now.

is it possible you can roll back the update?
If not, check for further updates?

If it still doesn't work - can you send it back for repairs? Warranty should work, right?

Since it was a firmware update, I don't think I can roll it back (although good suggestion). Since I work in San Francisco, I just brought it to work with me and I'll swing by the MS store after work. Hopefully they will know some magic. If not - then yes - off to warranty repair.
