What's the best way to share a webpage on the Surface Pro?
I've been using the Share feature in Charms, but if you have to go back to the webpage you're viewing to copy something or tap anywhere outside of the mail app, your Email will disappear. It won't even save it as a draft.
I couldn't find a feature in the Chrome browser as an alternate way of sharing pages.
Luckily I came across this hack for the Chrome browser online.
Google Chrome: Add a Send Link Button to the Bookmarks Bar | a Tech-Recipes Tutorial

Are there other alternatives for sharing that work better than the one in the Charms menu?

I use a Google Chrome extension called "Pocket". It's actually a "save for later" kind of an application where you can save a website that you want to get back to later. You can save it on a PC via google chrome, but if you also have a Pocket app on android or iOS, you can also open the saved website there.

If you open the Pocket browser, it has an option to share the webpage to email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

It's that simple. You can also delete the webpage right away after sharing it by clicking the "trash can" icon.

BTW, here's the Pocket link: http://getpocket.com/

....

I have the Pocket Extension. I was hoping to find a way of doing it with less steps. Despite having to send to Pocket, visit Pocket, located the saved page, then share; it's an option that can be used.

the process from saving to pocket to selecting "share" option only takes 3 sec to complete. You don't even have to open your email app. Just type the receiver's email. When you save something, it is always on top. You don't have to look for it.

What's wrong with just copying the url into an email and sending it?

How is Pocket better than just creating a folder in your Chrome favorites and naming it "Read Later"... Chrome bookmarks sync across all your devices so why not just use that?

because all saved links on pocket can be opened in any browser (Firefox, Opera, etc.) on any OS.

Good point. It may be worth trying because I still prefer Chrome on my work and home pcs, but it looks horrible on the SP3. Still, i really like having everything in one place, and up until now Chrome has done that for me.

Not sure if this will be a time saving feature for me, because I have to type their entire email address. It doesn't have an auto fill feature that filters and fills in the email address as you type it. I have quite a few friends that I like to share sites with daily. Having to type their entire email address over and over can be a pain.
