Hey all, just wondered something about the brightness settings and if I've got it right ?

Under display There is a brightness profile slider for auto that defaults about half way ? Why ? Surely if it's auto it best for it to use its whole range ?

Then there's low med high .... There is a slider for there brightness .... I presume auto oversees these settings completely....

Do most people just use auto set at a default brightness setting for slider ?

Cheers
Og

It's mostly on auto for me, unless i'm in a dark room, then I adjust the slider manually

I just came from a L920 > L930 and I find the screen to be poor. I use 'Emerald' for my accent colour.
Colours are oversaturated and it's amazingly bright all the time.
I've resorted to the last notch under 'Brightness Profile' and under advanced settings had the bottom slider turned almost right down.
And before you say, this has had a brand new screen fitted only last week.
Also, with my L920, the screen used to gradually adjust for ambient light quite subtlety, but noticeable, this one doesn't. It just seems to glare and glare more, especially in a dark room.
Is this normal?

Go to 'Brightness' under settings. Turn off auto. Turn to 'Low'. Then turn on Auto. It seems (to me) that this affects the range auto brightness uses.
