Bug/defect checklist for new and future Lumia 920 owners

Well, my 920 started being unresponsive to all touch tonight. Just great. Physical buttons all work, but no touch. Very big bummer.

I've had some aux jack issues as well. When listening to music/podcasts and an alarm hits, after dismissing it there is a pop and then only the left channel is active. A soft reset fixes this, but its annoying.

Also, is the boot time longer than 7.x or am I imagining?

Ok, here goes. Unable to send / recieve text messages. Not recieving emails. Opening apps are sending me straight back to home screen. Become extremely slow at loading. Games are crashing. This is all out of the blue, my 920 has worked wonderfully for a week... Not sure what to do.

Contacted AT&T support to try and fix my phone with the touch screen issues. They had me do a hard reset which resulted in a brick. Now they can't replace my phone for 2-3 WEEKS. Nokia isn't much better and won't send a replacement until I mail in my current phone and they take 7-10 business days to "assess and repair" it

Syncing problems today. I updated some of the Nokia stuff last night, not sure if that caused a glitch. Email accounts and Facebook won't sync unless I do it manually. I think the syncing issue is also causing a much faster battery burn. Earlier I was getting an error message, but that seems to have stopped.

Couple more things to add to the list:

1. Something loose inside the phone, possibly battery.
2. Phone freezes while on call paired to a bluetooth in the car.

I got my lumia 920 yesterday and few hours after I got it the camera died just like that. I'm so disappointed with nokia.

Instead of creating a new thread, i thought i'd ask it here.

I've the original Zune monthly pass (unlimited streaming + 10 songs/month). I thought it would work on the new Xbox music app but for some reason whenever i try to download a song, it asks to pay for it on my phone. Does anyone know how to download it using those 10 credits ?

I too had the legacy 10 free song Zune pass. I bought a Surface and got the $100 Xbox music pass. When I applied it, it wouldn't accept the code. I had to cancel and downgrade to xbox music pass and lose my 10 songs and 2 devices.

You can still download the music but I don't think from the phone you can get the songs as .mp3s, they are drm'd. If you use the zune client you should be able to d/l the .mp3s but I can't confirm now. I'm switching to Nokia Music when my 12 mo pass expires.

I found out that if i go to Xbox music tile and select a song from the store, i can download it for free. The navigation is just confusing IMO.

thanks for the reply. I think i'll keep my pass so I can purchase 10 songs/month using the Zune desktop client and download whatever songs i need on the phone.

i have exactly the same issue since yesterday. Mails, Texts, the Me-Hub... all sends me back to the Homescreen.
I noticed that under Settings > E-Mail/Accounts... the Microsoft Account does not sync.
This is inredibly annoying as i need Mail & Text for work. Not to mention that i don't get texts from friends...

Lot of pages on this thread, hope this isn't a double post (hope I didn't miss it)...

When I am connected to bluetooth for calling in my car, I cannot use voice search/voice commands. I am not sure if my 920 is searching for a microphone or what. On my HTC Arrive WP7 device, it would use the microphone on the phone when I had an aux cable plugged in so I could work arround this issue.

More than a little bummed out. For the first 10 days, everything worked fine. Then the phone locked up when I tried to update smart shoot. The phone went off and would not come back on until I read about the volume down + on button.

Before that incident, tiles updated as they should. Now none of my email accounts update unless I do a manual sync. Facebook is the same. The battery appears to drain faster. Not sure what the problem is or what I can do to fix it.

Had my Cyan since 11/20.
So far I have had battery issue.
Bricked on hard restart.
Clicking noise when I press down on the top.
Headset volume is very low.

Now with that said, since reflashing my phone and shutting off NFC and turning off Nokia Drive, my battery has been awesome. I love this phone and as soon and inventory starts to build up I will replace my Cyan with a new one under the 1 year ATT warranty because of the clicking noise. I think they probably released this phone too early and as soon as these bugs get worked out I think we will all forget about this.

I haven't seen this issue posted yet.
Using the camera button to launch the camera and take pictures this weekend in sleep mode (not logged in or using the camera icon to launch) Took about 20-30 photos using this method.I was able to take the picture and review them just fine. Suddenly the phone does a reboot (first time ever), and when I went into look at the photos in the library, all of them were gone. I lost some amazing shots. The images did not upload to Skydrive either...gone!

I tried some of the recovery methods I found to no avail.

Anyone else randomly lose photos?

I did not have this happen to me, but it did happen to my friend over Thanksgiving. The only difference is that you said your phone rebooted. His froze and he manually rebooted. His photos, which he reviewed while taking them, upon re-boot, were all gone. You are not alone. I sent an e-mail to Matt Rothschild about a different subject, but did mention that story, so he knows.

Same here. This is my second 920. The first had a bad capacitive button.

1. The camera auto focus is jacked. I touch the screen, it focuses perfectly, then I watch it go out of focus and it takes that picture. I've tried using auto focus through the physical button as well.

That happens when you set it to close-up mode and forget to set it back to automatic.
