Bug/defect checklist for new and future Lumia 920 owners

I too had the legacy 10 free song Zune pass. I bought a Surface and got the $100 Xbox music pass. When I applied it, it wouldn't accept the code. I had to cancel and downgrade to xbox music pass and lose my 10 songs and 2 devices.

You can still download the music but I don't think from the phone you can get the songs as .mp3s, they are drm'd. If you use the zune client you should be able to d/l the .mp3s but I can't confirm now. I'm switching to Nokia Music when my 12 mo pass expires.

Contact MS. I can't remember what the new support account is for Xbox Music, but I contact @Zunesupport on twitter when I lost my ten free Zune pass and they got me straight (via web and phone) within fifteen minutes. There should still be a support link on Zune.net.

Anybody have the problem in which when your 920 is syncing with Ford Sync, the phone restarts?

I have this problem every once in awhile. It's been locking up more than restarting lately and then I have to do a soft reset.

Battery drain
Some people are reporting that their battery power is drained after just a few hours. Solutions: make sure only background apps you intend to run are actually running; close out of apps when you're not using them by pressing the back button; let the phone go through a few charging cycles; Nokia Drive running in the background is a common culprit - look out for the accompanying icon and be sure to close out of it and other apps properly.

I tested my battery over this weekend. With Emails/Whatsapp a couple of background apps running. Quite a few calls and text messages, using city lens to navigate around the city, internet browsing I was pretty happy with the battery. The only thing I didn't like was the "Estimated time remaining" it sucks!

ive read all post and have not seen this mentioned yet: i have experienced this twice, i would pull my phone from my shirt pocket and it would be like in ZUPER zoom mode on the screen, i would have to shut it off and turn it back on to get it back to the correct view on my screen. Like i said this has happened twice..

Oh yeah, Apple always puts together great devices besides faultly antenna, scratches, wrong signal display and so on. Why are you Apple fan boys trolling on this forum? Are there no Apple forums where you can pretend that you are not buying overpriced devices with medium quality and medium customer service from Apple?

I can reproduce a lock up of the 920.

play music thru BT in my car, take a call and while on the call close the media player and when the call ends and it tries to restart to play audio thru BT the phone will freeze up everytime.

It also has reboot and stopped on nokia log once while on a call.

In regards to battery drain, experienced it on my 2nd day and after some time linked it to my having turned off automatic brightness and putting the display on high. Once I put the auto brightness back on, problem solved. I will say that with auto brightness on the screen is extremely dim, especially in low light, a very poor implementation of this setting by Nokia.

I think I figured out my email sync and battery woes.

Poor LTE signal strength at home. This causes the battery drain and wi-fi is turned off when the lock screen pops up which keeps the email notices from appearing.

Today at work, I barely used any battery at all and my email notices did pop up. So I am sure my main problem is a bad LTE signal at home. So if I turn off LTE at home the battery drain will stop, but then I won't get any email or facebook notices because wi-fi turns off with the lockscreen.

Maybe you can add an issue of the aluminum inlay on the back not sitting properly and the gorilla glass having weak adhesive and lifting from either side of the phone

my power button has become flush with the body of the phone. is a sunken in button a common problem with anyone else?

My profile picture under the "me" live tab starts off clear but eventually becomes pixelated and blurry. Ive tried updating the picture, different picture, or facebook pictures. They all start off clear and then after a few hours or maybe a day, become pixelated.

Definitely appear to have solved my battery and syncing issues. Just about 24 hours after taking the phone off the charging pad and I still have 86%.

LTE signal stinks at home so turning it off and wi-fi on results in less battery burn. No wi-fi at work so turning it off and data back on with a strong LTE signal results in almost no battery burn. Only problem is with the lockscreen stopping email notifications when I am on wi-fi at home.

to remove dust under the FF camera... use an air can in the ear peice part of teh speak.... blow 8 inches away from teh ear piece...

LOL, that's b/c you have magnified zoom on... go to setting ease of access. turn off magnified zoom! people... LOL

I have found that standard headphones work with my Lumia 920, but standard hands free headphones/mic don't work. I am limited to the hands free I got with the phone. I have tested the failed headsets with my HTC Titan and iPhone. No problems. Any ideas? Do I need special headsets to get the mix working? What spec?

My phone takes forever to switch between 2G to 3G ( not from 3G to 2G)
Also at reboots it goes to 2G, and I need to travel to get 3G !! I have full 3G normally.

Not sure whether I am having battery drain, but after second charge, with mobile data turned on, nokia drive closed, my battery drains finish in 7 hours. Gonna test it later again and see how it goes.

Don't really know what's causing it, but today I pulled my phone out of my pocket and it was totally unresponsive. Pressing the power button did nothing. I had to hold the volume down + power to get it to boot up again. I don't have many apps, but I uninstalled Nokia Drive Beta just in case since that one seems to be causing some problems.

I haven't even had the phone for 48 hours yet, so this is very disconcerting...

After that happened, the phone got really warm and the battery seemed to be discharging faster than normal, so I rebooted it again. Not quite as warm now. Still concerned about the lockup, though.

Has anyone reported issues with the speaker volume being really low? I don't think this was always a problem for me, but I need to have my phone at 30 in order to hear the ringer or notifications easily. When the volume is below 20 it's nearly silent and even sitting on my desk 2 feet away is almost impossible to hear with any ambient office noise around me. Seems like something is really wonky with this, I shouldn't need to have it turned up to 30 to be usable.
