Bug/defect checklist for new and future Lumia 920 owners

So I experienced my first random reboot and it occurred while sharing internet I wasn't doing anything too data intensive so I don't know why it would've happened. It's a another to add to the list I guess. My question is should I ride it out or go exchange it? I just got it yesterday...

Charged it, left for 10 hours untouched with only email updating every hour and battery dropped only 3%. But as soon as I grabbed it and started using it, it dropped from 97% to 40% in mere 2-3 hours with limited usage.

I got mine this morning. Decided to use it until the battery drained all the way down. It has now been charging for 3 hours and when I try to turn it on it goes straight to the picture of a battery with a red bar. It will not turn back on.

A reason might be that it does not switch on because your battery is still too low ... check your charger that all is properly seated and charge by a wall electricity to ensure good power ...

All WP7 and 8 phones should turn on automaticly the moment you plug it in the charger. So I suppose your charger is broken (like mine with the L800 was), or the device is broken and it should be exchanged. Try it out first with both usb and dedicated charger to rule out which one is broken.

Yes, agreed ... but not true, if your battery is very low ...

I just recently received my wireless charging pad and when I put the phone on the pad the charging indicator light comes on and claims it is charging but it never does. Has anybody else had this problem? I did a reset once and this did not change anything.

LOL!!! No it is right side up ha ha ha!! But the phone says it is charging because the little two pronged icon shows over the battery symbol and I had it on the charger all night and when I woke up the battery was critically low and at 9% left.... I brought it to an AT&T store but they were useless and didn't know anything about Windows Phone and said that reasons like this is why they prefer the apple phone... But I sent Nokia care a message and am waiting to hear back and I also am going to another AT&T corporate store tomorrow to see if they can help me any further.

Does anyones camera button have a "loose" feel to it? I realize it's a two stage button.

I had my first "wont turn on" lockup a few days ago. After a soft reset to get things going I noticed that the date/time has reset back to 1st September 2012. I turned off "auto" in the date/time settings and haven't had a problem since. Could it be that lockups result from an issue syncing with the carriers time? Who knows but it may help someone.

I see why so many people gravitate towards the iphone, its just a well put together device. The Lumia is pretty, after that I would call it a failure, there are just so many bugs, how did they expect to pass this off as a top notch device. Just because you add powerful hardware doesn't mean you have a powerful device. The L920 is too big and heavy of a phone to lug around when half the features don't work or are not available on a certain carrier,etc. In my opinion the mango update was great,Wp8 suffers from the same bugs WP7 users consistently complained about. If people who purchased these wp8 lumia devices returned them back to the store it would send Nokia a clear message(I say Nokia because that's the only one I've tried) that we want a useable phone and not some bait and switch crap you put together.

Oh yeah, Apple always puts together great devices besides faultly antenna, scratches, wrong signal display and so on. Why are you Apple fan boys trolling on this forum? Are there no Apple forums where you can pretend that you are not buying overpriced devices with medium quality and medium customer service from Apple?

Two bugs in my Lumia 920.

I have had 6 reboots in five days. First day nothing, then friday 4, then two days nothing and today 2 times in a row. No apps, nothing was used in phone. Just when you grab the phone there is request to input sim code. But this is already in bug list so its okay.

This one isn't. Somehow cellular connection goes down. This has happened twice. Funny thing is that front screen shows that everything is okay. It gives full bars, it shows 3G and also carrier name is there showing that phone is connected. Solution was to switch phone to offline and back. Then everything worked well. Only thing to notice this is that when sending sms, phones gives error "cant send, please try again". If you try to call someone, there is just silence in your phone.

Do you mean connecting to Ford audio via Bluetooth? It's working fine for me.

Not sure if this has been listed or not, but my phone sometimes starts playing music when the headphones are removed from the jack(even though the the music was paused). This can be problematic in the morning and especially in class.

Take all 2 Live Crew off the device if you have it on there, trust me.

my headphone jack seems to be acting up as well with the following:

1. flimsy connection with a few headphones which results in the sound not working, working on one side only or works perfectly; different each time i plug in
2. music stops / starts at sometimes when the headphones are inserted / removed
3. when inserting the headphones the voice search appears sometimes (i am refering to the same action that occurs when you hold down the start button)
4. there is some sound crackling in the xbox extras app but only on the back / cancel sounds
