Bug/defect checklist for new and future Lumia 920 owners

Lumia 920 owners in Malaysia have encountered Time & Date auto update bug. The Phone doesn't automatically update the time & date at all even though the function is Set to auto. Not sure if owners in other country face this problem.

I have an odd problem with my Nokia Lumia 920. I noticed over the past few days since the Portico update, my Lumia has been constantly cutting out after a few seconds in audio within every app. The drive app doesn't speak the full directions but cuts out randomly and never says the entire direction, the music starts playing but then cuts out and then when switching to new songs doesn't play at all after the initial song. Rebooting doesn't help. Soft resetting doesn't help either. Is this a software problem? I'm getting fed up with it. Everything else works beautifully, but I really want to use my music player and drive app too. I've had the odd random reboot problem everyone has had while plugged in to power at work and on WiFi with 4G data switched off. Charger has the three second delay between plugging in and notification that its been plugged in. Battery life is ok, brightness changes automatically but not sure if its correctly set per lighting scenario. I miss listening to audio on my phone, please help! Also someone mentioned his 4GB + files weren't copying to his PC with Windows 7 Pro. Does he have FAT32 partitioned on his HD or NTFS? NTFS allows for larger file sizes than 4GB while FAT32 does not.

I noticed this too!!! The audio thing sucks! It cuts out as if it didn't stream all the way.

oh. And now its not turning on at all, even after I lock and unlock, hope its software issues, finally got the perfect phone after 4 tries and then this

I deleted all the video and audio as well as alp my pictures from my Lumia 920, and then added one music album and it plays just fine. I wonder if the flash memory gets corrupted sometimes from adding too many files. Now it works fine.

strangest thing happened, moment I came home and it connected to WiFi the 3 lights came on! Or is it the darkness in the house? Hmm

I just got a new 920 build 48/2012. Front facing camera has a purple tint that constantly fluctuates. Looks like someone has a purple light facing me, dimming it down and up. Not a huge deal for me since I won't be using FFC but still disappointing. This is before and after portico.

mine has that too, I'm,sure its software though since it fluctuates.

sound stuttering problem is solved.. change default ring tone to any other and it should be fine.. I just did it, restarted the phone..and even switched back to Nokia Tone and its fine now.

Most of the times when I play games or working with Lumia, the back of the phone getting too hot and freezes then restarts !
When the phone is hot if I try open camera or one of lenses app the phone freezes or restarts !

Ditto! The only issue I had so far. Still contemplating whether to exchange or not. Anyone else having the same issue?

Is anyone having problems with newer batches? My 2month old lumia just died. It was from one of the initial batches. I had a warranty one come today, and the entirety of the insides was moving around...complained aggressively with ATT and they are sending me a new one rather than another refurbished one. So my original one had some problems, but now I am wondering, since this will be from a new batch, and they may have things more under control now, if new lumia owners since the new year, have been having as many issues?

Vibration rattle
This might not even be considered a defect. This is just how the phone vibrates. The Lumia 900 was the same. There's no need to exchange your Lumia 920 for this issue.

Has this been confirmed to be a manufacturer defect; or is it just the way the phone is made? I got my Cyan 920 from Amazon today and everything is fine with it, except that it rattles when it vibrates. Any advice? This is my 5th one, went through one with At&t, took it home and had some issues, went back and went through three in the store. I gave up and just returned it. I saw Amazon had the color I really wanted so I took my chances and hoped my luck would be better with a later batch. But alas I have the rattle. So does anyone know either way?

I think it's a good idea for the user to specify where they got the handset ie. AT&T or UK model, international unlocked etc. so we can kind of narrow down if the specific problem only happen to a specific type of handset

Anyone else having this problem?

I am having some weird random freezes... the Hardware buttons and the Capacitive Touch buttons stop working, but the Operating System work fine!!! I am able to open any App and it Works flawless, but can't go back to home screen because the buttons are not working... I can feel the feedback from the home and back buttons, but they dont do anything....

Also, the capacitve buttons stay light up...

When I do a soft reset everything goes back to normal.

Is this Hardware or Software related????

I think it's a good idea for the user to specify where they got the handset ie. AT&T or UK model, international unlocked etc. so we can kind of narrow down if the specific problem only happen to a specific type of handset

If they inform about the software version, also would be a great idea because many users are still with outdated software!
Simply upgrading the software to the latest (v1232.5957.1308.00xx) firmware already solve a lot of these bugs!
