Bug/defect checklist for new and future Lumia 920 owners

Today was the first time I have used 1080 recording on my 920,It was quite hot after recording. I recorded 3 separate session around 3 min long each time I noticed the increase in temperature. Later I was going to make a phone call only to discover my phone will not open any contacts. Every time I tap a contact it returns to the home screen. I love this phone but after replacing my 900 twice I am not to thrilled about these latest problems.

I did a 15 minute recording at my sons nativity play today thinking i might run into this issue but thankfully i don't seem to have it. Don't really understand why it would cause a problem like this.

Phone got very warm though!

Battery burn out!

Not sure what happened but yesterday my battery didn't last through work. It went from lasting 48 hours to less than 5. This morning the phone was dead. Battery ran out of charge overnight. I don't think I added anything yesterday so not sure why this happened.

I wonder if the phone just needs to be turned off every now and then. Just like my old computer needed to be rebooted after a few days, maybe the Lumia needs a reboot after a few days because my power problems seem to be gone now. Maybe one of the location services was hung up and that was causing the serious power drain and once rebooted that cleared out and now everything appears to be fine.

mine has dust inside front camera and won't charge with wireless pad. sent to Nokia repair and current status is being analysed and repaired..

Nokia keeps sending me new units with a free return label for my current device. I didn't even ask for a replacement this last time.....just asked if the flex in the polycarb was considered normal lol

I just got my Lumia 920 and I noticed the capasitive buttons are yellow, not white, when having them light. Is this the same in your phones, or do I have something to worry about?

Is anyone having a problem when your trying to end the call but the screen stays black? Ive had to leave LONG voicemails cause it never shows up. Hitting the lock button has it appear briefly and then go black sometimes but its random.

I had that in my 800 before getting this phone. It's due to the approximity sensor acting weird. Factory reset could help it. (A friend of mine has had that in 3 different N9s, he has had to get them replaced so that's something to look into.)

search on the forums for anything similar and didn't find anything. I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this:

If you use the Linked Inbox feature, WP8 puts a tile on the Start Screen of the 920. If you delete it from the Start Screen and reboot the phone, the Linked Inbox reappears. No other tile operates in this fashion. This is definitely a bug.

If anyone else has seen this and has a fix, please share.

Just had a lock up. Portico confirmed for being a steaming pile of ****, just like Apollo.

I noticed this on the one i was looking at in the shop, they were a yellowish tint. The 920 i have the buttons are white.

Ive also noticed the lights go off if there is alot of light in a room but obviously light up if the room is dark.

This is normal right??

Test all of these things and ensure that your phone isn't freezing. If it does this often, exchange your Lumia 920 for another one.

My Lumia does also have the yellowish tint on the buttons. However, as my Lumia is yellow, I find it fits quite nice.

What do i lose with a factory reset and have to redo?

Autocorrect on Skype doesn't work. It shows correct words, but it doesn't fix them Dx

I don't see how what I'm saying is "idiotic" if it's true. A lot of people are still saying they're having freezing and reboot problems after Portico.

its idiotic because you claim the whole product is bad because a few people are having problems.
