Build 10581 SMS lag

Hello,

Anyone has a workaround in how to solve this SMS lag issue? I get text messages showing up anywhere from 1hr - 4hr into my inbox. There did not appear to be a release note reflecting this as a known bug.

In the somewhat official thread on this build in our forum....I did not find anyone with the same problem nor was my question answered. So hate to spam here on a new thread but can anyone help?

I think you have to give it some time. My texts speed have been improving. Still not out of the woods yet but hopefully this is the solution....time.

do you have power saver enabled? make sure to let the sms running in the background in the power saver setting.

I disabled the "Chat use" in messages settings, there a little speed improvement. It remains the main bug: exiting sms page often freeze the phone.
SMS app has updated twice since the new build out

Yup, after some time things got better. Still needs much more improvement though as it's quite laggy overall, even on a 1520.
But definitely usable now, things are working good and I'm liking the build overall.

MUCH better on my 928. It's actually been >4 hours since it's had to be plugged in!

I just fired up my 928 after getting rid of my icon a few weeks ago. The last version of w10 preview I used on the icon was pretty good. I installed the latest on my 928 this weekend and the mobile hotspot does not work . Anyone else have this issue ? I also tried the slow ring which is build 166 and hotspot didn't work they both say mobile hotspot is not available
