Hi All,

I need some advise on the following:
I have a Nokia LUMIA 800 for almost 2 years now. The phone is still doing a good job but I am a getting a bit frustrated because of the gab difference between WP8.0 and WP7.8!
For this reason I am looking for a new phone and I am very intrested in the LUMIA 925.

I am only doubting if I should buy the phone now or if its best to wait some longer because of next reasons:
1. Will a new operating software be introduced soon (WP8.1/9.0) and will there be a possibility for upgrading?
2. Is NOKIA going to introduce the succesor of LUMIA 925 on short notice
3. Will the aquisition of Nokia by Microsoft introduce new phones on short notice worth waiting for?

Looking forward on the replies.

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Steven

Welcome aboard to WP central the university of Windows Phone. The 925 is a great phone now and depending on your carrier your choice maybe limited. You never know when a new phone is going to be released to your carrier but this is the right place for info on up coming device's just get in the forums and ask questions from others were all here to help.
Any way good luck with your choice.

Welcome to WPCentral! I am in the same seat as you, and I have decides to wait, since the 925 is almost the same as the 920, and the 920 is getting pretty old, so I'm waiting for something new with quad core and 8.1

8.1 won't be released until early to mid 2014, and the update will be available to current WP8 hardware; so from the software side, I would say pull the trigger.

If 1080p and quad-core matter to you, then you'll probably need to wait at least a few months (for GDR3 release).

I'm kind of in a wait and see mode myself... about to switch to TM, but plan to keep my 920 and save a buck for either a TM variant of the 1020 or maybe whatever is next.
