Can someone advise me on last.fm scrobbling on Windows Phone?

Hi, I'm currently on Android but seriously considering a Windows Phone. Scrobbling to last.fm is very important to me but I've heard that WP doesn't support apps to broadcast in the background (or something like that!).

How good actually is the support for scrobbling in WP. I've heard of apps where you have to manually press a button to scrobble. Is there any chance of this getting better?

Are any of you using any particular app for this purpose? It would be great if I could get some direction here. And apologies if this has been addressed before.

ModernMusic has built in Last.FM scrobbling. So you won't have any problem.
