Can't accept calendar meeting request

Ever since I upgraded my two WP8 phones to the WP8.1 preview, I've lost the ability to create an appointment on one phone, invite the user of the other phone, and have the other phone/user accept the meeting request. I'm guessing here but I think the upgrade process changed the mail account on the phone to a POP3 account instead of leaving it the type it was before the upgrade. If I'm right this will be a big issue when it goes mainstream.

I'm looking for feedback f this is a known issue and how do I fix it. Note, when the meeting request is created I can go to my PC and accept the request in Outlook 2013. The mail service is provided by MSN.

Any ideas?

What kind if phone do you have? You might need to do a hard reset, and refresh as a new phone. Besure to back up all your photos and data you want to keep.

Hi, I have a HTC 8X phone. Since I had those phones before the 8.1 upgrade, I'm sure it is a software issue. Again, I think the phone when it was upgraded changed the email account to a POP3 from what it previously was. Any thoughts?

Same issue here with WP8.1 on HTC 8S.
Can't respond to meeting requests sent from another WP8.1 device (my wife's Lumia 620), and she can't respond to meetings requests sent from my phone. We both use outlook.com and we both can respond to meeting requests from a PC.
Everything used to work fine before upgrading from WP8 to WP8.1...

Did the tile for your email change from outlook to exchange? My tile for my outlook (man.com) email account changed to an E from an O after the upgrade to 8.1. It seems to work okay. Kind of strange
