Has anyone got trouble setting google accounts?

I tap on add account(deleted them) --> Google --> then it says it need authorization from google to connect so i press connect and nothing happens...

Exactly the same thing is happening to me, on the same phone model. Any ideas anyone?

To fix the Gmail syncing bug disable calendar sync to fix the issue...thanks!

As someone posted in another thread.

I had the same problem and fixed it by changing the Calendar server address from "apidata.googleusercontent.com" to "www.google.com"

It worked for me

Basically, for my phone, turning OFF WIFI fix it. I was able to create the Google mail account without problems.
