Just curious for those of us using our phones as our form of radio in our cars... However more importantly. For those of us who aren't lucky enough to have Bluetooth or an Aux In... I have a 2008 VW Rabbit and it has the old 25 Pin wide connector in the console for an iPod hook up but of course I only use my phone so its dead to me. I don't want to replace the radio because it works and it fits the car well. Looking to find a mount for a 1520 but before I do thought Id ask and see what everyone is using for their Audio setup in their car. If you use aftermarket Bluetooth show pics of it too. Anxious to see it all.

I just use radio, but I believe something like this will solve your problem Stereo Audio Input iPod iPhone Dock Female to Micro USB Adapter Cord for HTC One | eBay
Hi, what phone do you use?
Do you have to alter any settings on the phone? or does the music just play through the car speakers?

I have a 1520, but I dont use a setup in my car, I just listen to the radio. The link to the cable i sent should work, it's the appropriate adapter. The only setting you might have to play with are the "USB settings", should play through your speakers just fine.

Dont have a USB Setting... I can just turn it to the AUX Port which is that Apple Connector. My big thing is I wanted to be able to change tracks on it

Yes you have a USB setting; there is a USB setting on both 10 and 8.1. It will have an option to ask before using USB data connection, I don't remember if you need to have it checked on or off - I think off. Youll be able to change tracks just like an iPod or iPhone etc

Oh THAT USB Setting my bad - You are correct :) Sorry thought you meant on the radio my bad :)

Now that the 1520 has been out for some time now, what car mount do you all find to be best for this beast? One that doesn't interfere with the buttons (with & without charging/NFC). This monster doesn't fit comfortably in my cup holder like the others and on an iPhone or similar fits in the phone holder in the console. I have BT in the car which works great with it. I've been looking at the iOtti and other brands, but am unsure of fit and lack of issues when paired with the 1520.

I have an FM Modulator already - Im actually using a Motorola Speakerphone that clips on my visor. The problem with FM Modulators is that one you lose quality and two Cincinnati (Where Im from) has a TON of radiostations they may be fuzzy but they are there.

that's the reason I never use FM transmitters... quality isn't there... my old car has a CD/Cassette and I use a cassette adapter and the sound is great! its old but works flawless

Direct Inline is always better!

I use Pandora a lot in my car. I ended up buying the new iOttie Easy One Touch 3 after researching reviews and videos. It fits the 1520 perfectly even with my kickstand rugged case intact. I must say I'm very impressed.
