So, my second Gorilla Glass phone went crap.
Is there not any way to view my text messages and missed calls, outside of the phone?
The operating system does back that information up, as they are available on a replacement phone.
It would seem, to me, that information should be accessible.

BTW...
I'm starting to think Gorilla Glass is an absolute joke.
I've, officially, cracked more screens with it than without it.

Well, it's just a type of screen glass. It isn't invincible. One thing that's happened during the smartphone revolution is that durability has been sacrificed. :/ As for you question try going to outlook.com

SMS back up can be viewed online (but only if you've got SMS backup turned on)

You can most probably log into your account with your service provider on their web site, but it's doubtful they'll log missed calls.

Your SMS messages and call history should get transferred to a new WP8 phone if you get yours replace (and if you've enabled the relevant backup options).

That post shows a very specific step that seems to be required.
Just clicking Messaging History showed 0 results.
Taking the last character off the URL shows a bunch of results.

Edit...
This also works...

Although, it seems a little backwards.
It's a category of Contacts.
That doesn't, logically, mean text messages.
To me, it would mean e-mails that are from people in Contacts (I am at outlook.com, after all).

Your account page on your service provider's website will typically hold details of calls, I didn't say anything about text messages, although your service provider will have details of these internally.
