I read on the internet that it was possible to connect the new Xbox One controller (which now is supposed to use a bluetooth connection) to the Lumia 950 in order to play games (I'm interessted to buy a VR Headset for my Lumia 950 in case there were games that support the controller, yet). But the controller never shows up on my phone, so I'm not able to connect it. Does anybody know if I'm doing something wrong or if it isn't possible after all?

Thanks in advance!

it's had to tell the difference online, but the new controllers do have a bluetooth logo on the box/package . Considering the one you linked has the wireless dongle, i'm willing to bet it's not the newer, bluetooth variant.

That's not the latest controller, the fact that it has the adapter gives that away. The newest controller works over Bluetooth and doesn't need the adapter to connect to your PC or phone.

You might be able to use a USB-C converter to plug that into your phone, but that might not work as expected

Extra details from the MS support site: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc

And here is an Amazon link to the latest controller: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUwpUvbUpU3591180

Thank your or the replay!

In case I get one of the new ones as well, do they work with the wireless dongle as well as over bluetooth (my computer does not have bluetooth)?

I just got my controller from design labs, Bluetooth. It is connected to my 950, shows up in gadgets.
Yet Asphalt Xtreme won't recognize the controller.
Any help with this?
