Cortana works only with my wired Headset, do you also need to hard reset?

what do you mean by that? I just realize basically microphone is not working at all for all APPS unless I used a wired headset... this is annoying.

i mean do you have game data or so? if not then just backup everything to the cloud and try a hard reset... But read the other threads on hard resets first (search)

Same here, hard reset and no luck.

It goes even worse, mic is not working for apps. Phone is ok, but I can't record, for example, in any app.

I'm having this same problem. Lumia 1020. I have hard reset multiple times, tried installing other keyboards and speech packs, nothing has helped. It only works with my bluetooth headset (dont have wired headset to test)

Update: I have talked to Nokia, they guide me to use the Recovery tool to reflash my phone back to Lumia Black, however, it's still not working... How would an update to a new OS makes the phone's microphone not working anymore???

Hey someone said the problem can be solved by:

Solved mine!!! It was weird but here goes...

I search for an app called "Indigo" which is another assistant like Cortana. I spoke to Indigo and she worked fine. So I went back to Cortana and somehow some way it worked. Weird but finally got it too understand my text. Hopefully this problem is similar to what you guys went through.

Can you guys try?
