Custom Notification Sounds Not Working

Idol 4s - Latest release build .448 - I have several custom text tones assigned in the people hub/app. They are not working. Only the default sound is coming through.

Also, The outlook app is the same way. I am getting the default tone and not the outlook/mail tone? Is there a secret to get this working or is it a bug?

have you installed the latest firmware update?

did you do a soft reset past updating? to do that hold together volume down+power key until phone reboots.

The Alcatel 4s hasn't had a firmware update yet. And yes done a couple soft resets because of lock ups.

Same troubles on my phone, no custom notifications.
I have a broken volume down button and was hoping there may be another way to do a soft reset.
Any methods?

For some reason, custom notifications and ringtones only show up when you put them into your Notifications folder on the device directly from a pc connected via USB.

I rest my phone and did not restore from a backup. Custom sounds are working now. I shouldnt have to do that.

Well... problems are back again. Is there some sort of secret to get and keep custom tones working?

I had certain contacts setup with a unique text tone. It was working. I changed the default messaging tone under notifications and now that is trumping the individual tones in the people app. Is this still a bug? On production release?

I have the same issue with outlook. You have the notification setting in the app to play sound... but it only plays the default. I changed it in settings/notifications to WINDOWS EMAIL and I still get a default beep. WTH?
