Custom Ringtone?

Hi, I was wondering how to I set custom ringtones on this device? I have tried going into settings and placing a .mp3 file into the <Application Data < Sounds
but it will not let me set it as a ringtone.

Any other advice would be much appreciated

I actually just kind of figured this out last night. Try changing the .mp3 file name on your computer to .mid and then emailing to your phone as an attachment. See if that works. When I tried sending an mp3 to my phone, it kept playing it in WinMo Media Player. When I sent it as a .mid, it gave me a choice under Menu to save to contact and also put it in my ringtone list. I'm thinking it should work the same for you, even though I have a Touch Pro 2 with Verizon.

I am having the same issue with my Matrix Pro as the first poster mentioned, and the solution mentioned does not work... It would be nice if it were possible to set custom ringtones on a Matrix Pro... does anyone know how?
