Dangerous thread

I really don't know, since I've never dabbled in hacks/rooting. I also have no clue about anything developer or coding related.

I'm going to report the thread and see if the network mods have any advice. I believe they are Android users, so they should be able to understand better.

Thanx Laura.

In the post above user "mrappbrain" has posted something by someone on XDA.
At the bottom of his posting there is an edit which includes a link to an XAP piracy site.
I believe that should be removed from his post.

Frankly I don't like the thread because it's really about piracy and busting open a closed source Microsoft owned operating system.

Like almost anything related to technology, it can be used for both good and bad. IMHO there are good arguments to support either side. I suspect WPC must stand on the side of the law however, so the question is only how strict WPC wants to enforce that position.

That's true. I know BitTorrent is another murky area. I take the stance that simply discussing BitTorrent or its apps is acceptable, as long as no sites that provide links to illegal torrents are discussed. For example, since I run Linux, I use BitTorrent on a regular basis, since that is the easiest way to download new distros.
