Dead spot

After i recently updated to lumia black, i noticed that im not longer able to use the top of my screen, i mean i cant check my network or wifi. I hard reseted it and nothing (btw back up didnt work well for me). i remove the film protector and nothing still not working. the dead spot is more or less the heigh of a small tile. Any idea what can i do ? :/

If a hard reset hasn't worked I suspect you'll have to send the phone in for repair.
