Hi All,
I was going to propose using 950XL+Continuum in my office as a means of field data collection where staff would be looking up information and snapping photos of properties, then packaging them in PowerPoint to be loaded in our image repository. Having a connected phone that can later act as a desktop, maps for navigation even when there's no signal in wooded areas and the future possibility of allowing remote data retrieval would be a game changer.
Today, I decided to run a test to see how it would perform - just the Continuum part of it at my desk. Upon connecting everything up the monitor would not detect the dock, but the phone sees the monitor. Connected by DisplayPort, this HP ZR2740w doesn't have an HDMI port and a quick search found that I am S.O.L. Something about a passive DP is not compatible. Just like that, my potential recommendation goes up in smoke. We are all using the same monitor in the office and will be for the next few years.
I tried.
