Disable AMBER Alerts on 1520.3

How do I do it. The implementation is atrocious. The vibration intensity and duration is intrusive and I am receiving the alerts every 30-45 minutes. I will have to turn my phone off tonight if this persists.

According to this, that is how to do it but on ATT on my 1520.3 I do not see that option. Maybe you will have different luck?

Go to text messages> settings> at the bottom is emergency alerts, hit that and then uncheck what you don't want. (can't get rid of presidential alerts )

That option isn't there for 1520.3

Odd... I want some alerts (Weather especially as I live in Tornado Alley) and can find no way to enable them on my 1520.3... I thought it was not WEA ready as it isn't made for US consumption.
