I absolutely love this photo! Very nice. I wish I had kept my older phones. Been using a Nokia since I was 15. I would pay $100 to get that phone back. I still remember the shortcuts (Menu 6-1-1 and so on). MS and Nokia share something that a few appreciate nowadays, they made computers and cellphones available and affordable for people in the third world more than any other company ever did or will.

I mis that glorious feeling, the proud and joy of owning one.
It's almost devine.

The urge to shout out at the world.
The sensation and the many ows and aws when people see that you holding the icon of modern technology.
There can be only one.

Not so long ago and not so far away
My old Droid died on me and left me alone, all alone
The earth shook, the heavens went black as sackcloth
As i walk through the valley of darkness on my way to buy a new phone.
The first time i booted it, the heavens suddenly opend and the sunlight fell on my happy smiling face
as i saw the first glimps of white text on a pitchblack background saying
NOKIA.

Wake up,
its just a phone, a piece of plastic and metall parts.
I buy a phone who fits my needs.

No, I have Windows Phone envy. iPhone doesn't do anything for me personally, wouldn't want one (he says that despite owning a MacBook Pro which he loves!), but I miss my Windows Phone so dearly. I'm stuck with a HTC One atm.

Multitasking, music, GPS Mapping and other. Plus I can't really throw my 1020 on my arm and start running as that thing doesn't sit flat.

Looking forward to 8.1 devices and what that brings.

I do a lot with GPS and topo maps and tracking as well. There are a few apps out there and some work very well. Most however leave me feeling with "Why can't you do that like iOS or Droid?". Sigh.... Cmon 8.1!!! ;-)

I've had pretty good luck using Runtastic Pro with my L920. I carry my phone in a waist pouch that has two small running water bottle attachments and use the wireless Jaybird Bluebuds X. It's a decent setup for WP.

I suspect that many developers are waiting for waiting for WP8.1 until they update their apps.

I envy iPhone because it's very colorful, vibrant, and has a huge market share.

Lumias were colorful before iPhone, and vibrant means very much the same. Why do you envy it for huge market share? Unless you make smartphones and compete for market share yourself, this claim is quite stupid.

I'm pretty sure they are, and some of them are probably already working on making their app 8.1 compatible. Of course you're gonna wait a month if that means that you will be able to write 2 apps (pc/tablet and phone) with the same code. It makes all the sense, I'm sure there's going to be plenty of updates during developer preview phase already.
