Does it need an initial charge?

Many of us will be receiving our Surface's tomorrow, some of us at work.

When you get it, could you let us all know if the SP2 needs to be charged before any use, or can be set up on the charge it comes out of the box with.

I ask because I'm not sure i want to unbox it at work, but want to turn it on asap when I'm out of there

(replying to own thread...) yes I think it did have some charge. I charged it for 10 mins before touching it, and when turning it on it seemed to have about 50% battery life.

After my SP2 128GB booted up fully, it was at 44%...so you can go without a charge for a while.
