I have seen in multiple places that the X3 offers double tap to wake. Before nor after firmware update; Before nor after upgrade to AU release ring have I been able to find any reference on the phone itself. Where can I find the option to enable?

It's not there yet. The update is coming in a future firmware update being tested/developed currently.

you wil find the setting under phone settings> extras> touch

That area is only on Lumia phones and is not part of generic Windows 10 Mobile, so Elite x3 does not have that section. In fact, "Extras" will likely be phased out, it's a carryover from old Nokia customizations. DTTW is moving to Display settings, which makes more sense.

That makes sense. Thanks Daniel

Wherever it ends up in the settings menu, isn't DTTW unnecessary with the presence of the fingerprint touch unlock? I haven't once felt the need for DT since setting up some different finger tips for quick access.

So far the fingerprint unlocking is more reliable for me than DT on either my 930 or 950XL. On the latter two I sometimes had to DT the screen twice or even three times before it woke up. (If the glance screen was on, a single DT would usually do the job.)

It is very necessary. I usually make my device only lock after an hour. Since I'm in the car for at least two hours per day, with the device mounted on the dash, I often simply wake it by double tapping.

I found I really missed that feature after I switched from my Lumia 1520 to the 950xl. It wasn't until six months later that we got the firmware update enabling DTTW.
