Facebook and Google Mail problem

Hello,

I bought my Lumia 630 yesterday and I am very happy with it. However, I have 2 problems:

1.) I cannot connect to google mail service. I tried to add a google account for email syncronisation but it says Errorcode 80072F05 sync error. I dont really know what to do.
2.) My facebook app does not show profile pictures and most content of posts from my friends. I connected "app social" with my account but it didnt work. Somehow on my lock screen it can show pictures from my facebook albums.

Please help me out!

I forgot to say that I dont have a SIM card yet. The phone is currently only running with wifi.

1.) Its very accurate (manually)
2.) 100 MBit internet connection. Thas definitely not it.

I thought that it could be the missing SIM card, but I dont think it is.

Well, it requires a micro SIM and I only have the normal SIM card. I will get it tomorrow, but why should this be the problem - especially the facebook problem?

are you using the official facebook app ? Facebook | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

it has nothing to do with the sim.

Yes, but strangely the pictures also dont show in the browser. Additionally this website also doesnt work properly in internet explorer on my Lumia. When I want to login, it tries to download something which it cannot and thats where it ends. More bugs than I expected - is this a special situation due to the 8.1 update (I heard there where some problems platform-wide)? Today I will get the micro sim card and then I hope some problems will solve itself like magic but I doubt it.

i am damn sure that it is network related. not about the os.
picture on other sites are loading correctly right ?
i'm sure its a network problem..
for me the FB on browser as well as app works fine

Somehow it logged in now, but on ie browser as well as on uc browser, it said it wanted to download a file (something like passport_idontremember). It seemed like a PHP thing which it cannot handle correctly.

Facebook: I was on 3 different WIFI networks already and I had the same problem with all of them. Here are pics:

As for the synchronisation problem: I've set the time to manual now (somehow it was on automatic before), restarted the phone but it still cannot connect to gmail.When I do: Add Email Account -> Google, I see some text saying it requires to connect to google in order to authorize for my phone. I press "connect", it tries to connect but in the end lands on the same page again without any feedback. I tried to look into google settings on my PC Browser to authorize my phone, but I cannot find a way to add a device on the page, only to remove it.

​Oh my ! why didnt i think of this before .....

Have you checked data sense settings ? (inside internet explorer)
turning it on wont let you download images. (try turning it off )

I have the same issue with images not showing up on websites as well, including Facebook. I get the same thing as you, just a picture of a piece of paper. It's pretty frustrating.

Yesterday I did a soft reset. After that I changed the time manually again as well as the date. All of a sudden everything works now! I may have forgotten to setup the date when I changed the time or the soft reset was doing it.
