Facebook Integration with 8.1

Guys, I'm really confused. I have a Lumia 920 that I upgraded to 8.1. When I go to my people hub and go to What's New, I see a Facebook and Twitter feed. I just recently got a Nokia Lumia Icon and I upgraded it to 8.1, but I don't see Facebook in the feed, I only see Twitter. I have the regular Facebook app installed on both of my phones. I can't figure it out.


Edit: Actually it is now showing. I have no idea why it wasn't showing earlier. Have any of you experienced this?

Facebook integration sucks now. But many wanted to use an app. So that's what Microsoft did got rid of deep integration for an app! Awesome huh?

I actually like the new Facebook integration. It looks much better when looking at the inline updates in the people hub. It is a little bit slower when opening a post, but I'm Ok with that.

I think my main gripe with the new way of doing things it's that when I open a topic in Facebook, it just opens the top level base pay and that the comments are still another click away. And I really used to like how the me tile would highlight the comment in the notification.

The difference is that the me tile was MS code whereas the Facebook app isn't, and Facebook clearly isn't as committed to the Windows phone user experience as is Microsoft.

What I don't get with the new Facebook integration is how to share a YouTube video from IE and make it post the preview thumbnail. Now it just posts a URL. WTF???

the old method was just sufficient and smooth.. anyway those who want the app could download and use it. why remove from the os is beyond my understanding... and FB App in Windows Phone is just so bad... actually i dont use much of the FB app in WP 8.0 but now have to use it huiss

I'm having the same issue. Everything I Share>Social>Facebook is now just a link, no thumbnail. Have you found a solution?

Nope... Was hoping that the update of yesterday would resolve this but no, still exists. Would love to know if we are the only ones that feel this is an issue.

Thanks for the info... and hope it works well by the end of this year ..
IF not, if the apps are slow everything will be slow, if the apps like whatsapp still hogs the battery life that will increase. Hope FB app works well and feature rich (coz the present one hardly is).

I REALLY hate that it removed the integration of the profile pictures from my contacts. Only a few remain and it makes my contact list so boring, same thing with when someone calls me.
