Facebook - Is there a way to disable Friend post notifications on Windows?

Is there a way to disable notifications for when friends post an update? It's so annoying how both on the Facebook app on Windows 10 and the Facebook Beta app on Windows 10 Mobile, there's no option to disable that. I believe this exists on the official Facebook apps for iOS and Android though. The Facebook website doesn't show notifications for friend's posts, only Windows apps do.
