yeah, got my votes returned as well, I hope WP 8.1 will be released early on the dev preview

That's not really the way that Microsoft work. They invariably publish things in working hours, Seattle time.

I could be wrong, and all this could be real, but it doesn't seem right to me - the timing and communication just doesn't seem genuine.

It's currently 1:15am in Seattle. So, if anyone hacked the Admin account and made changes, it's going to be at least another 8 hours until someone at MS investigates and sorts things out.

yes! but it seems i can't see the uservoice for SD card support.
 
Why no one is reporting on this?
there is no where any post about it, no official comments from microsoft or joe belfiore vice president and manager of windowsphone.
no words from wpcentral team.
so what should we conclude about this??
 
Because those items were marked late in the evening on thanksgiving Sunday. It's going to be another 8 hours or so before Microsoft people are back in the office again.

WPCentral is probably trying to get some official confirmation before they write something about it. That's my conclusion.
 
What's more annoying is that there are three bloody threads on this stupid topic.

I don't know how I feel about the possibility of a 'file manager', depends how they manage it. I'm all for better features and good implementation, however, the minute I need to start using a anti-virus on my phone I'm dumping WP.
 
Hope they will release it with Lumia black.
or like gdr3 they will release developer preview..

GDR3 is done. It's not coming on that. It won't be part of Black because that's Nokia Firmware and has no bearing on the OS. If it's coming at all it won't be until WP8.1 at the earliest.

so we will have to wait for this feature till Q2 or Q3 of 2014 that sucks.

No idea where you're getting that information from, WP8.1 is still slated for Q1 of 2014. Don't take the garbage about Black coming out in 2014 as having anything to do with WP8.1. GDR3 is already released, it's the firmware holding up the release of GDR3 to Lumia phones and then the carriers. Don't blame MS.

Well, I apparently found my votes here and on custom ringtones returned to me. You heard that right, custom ringtones confirmed(?)!
 
What is going on exactly, I received also same e-mail, I consider this a very happy news :smile:

maybe file manager will be available in the store as any other app !!?

but I really feel happy, Windows Phone 8 now can be No.1 platform

Apple & google really feel so bad now

That's truly sad if they got hacked. I though MS was big on security. :P

To me it didn't make much sense it saying something is done when it won't be released until who knows when. There's no guarantee that a file manager will even come to WP8.1 or 9 or whatever. We simply have no idea. All we can really do is wait. Probably won't get an exact confirmation until people are in the head office in Redmond.
