Fitbit app can't find my Fitibt

I'm struggling to get my 640 to pick up my fitbit HR. I've tried via the app and via bluetooth but no luck. It worked perfectly on my android/iOS device, so I know the fitbit is working well.

Is it definitely compatible with the 640? I read someone else on the forum had this issue but I don't think they posted back to say whether or not they solved it.

Any help would me massively appreciated. I need this to work so I can use the 640 as my daily driver.

Managed to get it connected using the following advice:


1) plug fitbit into mains power
2) Press hold side button - 2 sec
3) Keep holding button - remove from mains power at same time
4) Keep holding button - 9 sec
5) release button - then immediately press it again - ERROR 0X01 should apear (if it doesn't you have done it wrong, start from 1)
6) Press button again and hold till you see ERASE
7) the tracker will vibrate and restart, completely fresh
