From HTC 8S to 8X

Hi there, the only problem I've had since updating to 8.1 is that the phone becomes a toaster when I'm playing any game.

That was in the OP! He clearly explained why he doesn't want that option so suggesting it is futile, no? (But to your credit, neither of you "asked" anything)

I have an HTC 8X also and I just email and tweet them about it. To answer your question, yes, according to HTC the 8X will get it, and according to Microsoft the update is "paused" at the moment.

I'll keep bugging them until they respond with something other than silence. I don't expect you to bombard them like I am, but please send them at least one message via twitter or email asking for an update on Update 1.

I believe bugging them is a very bad idea. I also thought of sending HTC 1 mail & tweet per day, but thought what if they release an unstable version, keeping in mind just a couple of 8X users? I've decided to wait for the official release and will not update my 8X until 1 month after the release. I also understand that they will not release the update just by us "8X" lovers contacting them frequently. Cheers!!!

Im all for stabile update and HTC taking their time working on it, but this is downright absurd. Surely they had access to the update long before Microsoft started releasing it to the public, and ample time to work it. And if they didn't, have access to it or time/manpower to work on it, well that's an entire different problem witch should make people that are considering getting new HTC phones, to have second thoughts.

Indeed it did became a toaster for some games after the update. Luckily I'm not a gamer though.
