Gmail wont sync anymore

Hey guys

I had to unfortunately reset my phone and now it seems like it wont let me change the gmail frequency of receiving emails as they come. I know I was able to do this before and I don't understand why I cant do that now. My brother has the Amber Update and gdr 2 on 928 but it works on his I was curious if anyone knew why it doesn't work anymore on mine? thanks for all the help in advance!

How did you / do you have Gmail set up on your phone now?

before I would check the boxes for contacts email and calendars-> sync-> then uncheck contacts and calendars and sync and the option would pop up to sync as items come. tried it and nothing works!

You need to set it up as an Exchange account.
