Google re-sizes contact photos- HELP

I have taken the time to replace the contact photos for many of my contacts, so that when they call, a high-res photo will show up.

However, Google seems to be re-sizing these photos and making them really low-quality. It makes no sense, since the photos are physically on the phone, so it's not like Google is resizing them because they have to pull them down from the cloud.

Anything I can do about this? It looks really crappy and pixellated when people call me, and I'd rather have no image at all show up than a pixellated one.

Its just how Google does it unfortunately. Their contact photos are tiny inside Gmail so it formats it for that size, then sends it back out to whatever is sync'd with it. So your phone, be it Android or wp7 or iPhone may have a normal photo, but once Gmail sync's it back to your phone with its super tiny size and it gets blown back up, it looks horrid.

Use another email to sync contacts to. I switched all mine to my live account.
