I'm slowly getting to grips being the Ambassador Team Leader but as I said from the beginning I'm going to be dragging you guys into it from time to time. I value your opinions!

I'm going to be adding a new ambassador hopefully this week, only I wanted you guys opinion on who it should be.

Here's my shortlist so far:

• worldspy99
• Keith Wallace
• berty6294
• sinime

What are your suggestions?

Ahh, ok. I wouldn't know, because I only go there when something needs cleaned or infracted. I have zero interest in anything Xbox.

Gedzum I plan to ask after may (he has finals). I'm interested in the idea of hope4wp but her posting seems a little confined at the moment. KrisJoeEll seems to post enough and has been around a while, and Paul May while his posts are good doesn't seem to be all that active.

There's always N_LaRue, but I can't be sure if he has any genuine interest in WP as a whole, and he can be confrontational when challenged on some subjects.

hope4wp has been more active lately. I caught a few posts of hers in the 1020 forum yesterday.

I believe N_LaRue is intelligent, and he certainly is active; however, I believe he might be just as controversial as Mase (only with religion instead of politics).

I'm inclined to ask Worldspy99 or Reflexx at this point as they have both been consistently active for a long period of time and have been helpful in key areas of the forum recently. hope4wp, or Nadia, is Himanshu's sister so I can see if she will branch out posting in the next few weeks through him. If she does, I think she could make a good ambassador.

Any thoughts? Do you think someone else would be better right now?

sinime seems to be a good guy from when I've seen him post before.

It's also possible (well, in theory) to modify a potential candidate's behaviour by making them an Ambassador (like La_Rue for example). A bit of responsibility may cause them to think before they post....

This is a possibility. If I were to even ask him to be an ambassador I would make it clear that an ambassador isn't here to argue people down or cause controversy, especially in religious matters that aren't related to anything in this forum anyway. When he's shouting people down in this way I find it very difficult to step back and not get involved, which is not behaviour I'd tolerate if he were an ambassador. On the other hand he's very active and does help people out. Just like Worldspy99 and Reflexx.

sinime is great, and I wondered if making him member of the month in the community update this month would have put the spotlight on him a little and encouraged him to post more, but it hasn't. It'd be great to have a dev as part of the ambassador team but I'm not sure if he's active enough?

I think he says the right things at the right time, which for me is more valuable than volume. I like the idea of him being highlighted though.

Yeah I can understand that and I'm inclined to agree, but I'm given measurable goals for the team to meet involving being active in the community. Ideally I want to pick people that are active enough they basically meet those requirements already.

According to Beverly (bevcraw), Sinime has been around the mobilenation forums forever (WebOS if I remember correctly). Beverly apparently knows him very well and I'd suggest you go get her opinion.

I see that hope4wp posts a LOT (apparently she's attempting the 75'000 post challenge on her own). Otherwise I rarely see her posts in the forums...

My vote would go to LaRue. He's very active, helpful, and has a good head on his shoulders. After accepting a more official role on WPC, I'd wager he's professional enough to tone it down on his own, even without being asked.

I think Reflexx would also make an excellent choice, but I don't see him around as much as I used to. If he's active enough certainly, yes!

That's a possibility. She might just clean up her attitude if she has a position with more responsibility.
