Having a trophy issue

I had an HD7 a little while, and it seemed ok, I have a trophy right now, and have noticed it moving slower especially in the MSN messenger app, it seems not very responsive, on top of that my battery life is horrible. I made it about half a day, recharged it to full, put the brightness to medium, and had it with me about a few hours, used it on messenger about 15 minutes, and looked at a couple things online, other than that it was in my pocket, and my battery is down to about 75% it looks like. Does anyone have any ideas about if this is a problem?

I have also noticed mine to be slightly slower than my HD7 was at times. I dont know what this is to be honest. It could be some crap that verizon loaded on the phone (ms says this isnt possible) but we know ATT has baked in software that others don't. I am thinking about just removing the my verizon app completely since I don't use it. I had a battery issue once, but I also had issiues with my HD7. I think it takes a few really good charges to get them up to snuff.

I also don't know anything about the msn messenger app, never used it. If it keeps an active connection all the time somehow, this could easily be hard on the battery.

The slowdowns seem so odd. It stutters even on Web Pages some times. I Don't remember the HD7 I had doing that I think.

Interesting... I have yet to see my Focus.. "stutter".. at least in a manner I would say is OS related and not data access related.. I mean sometimes you are simply constrained by bandwidth..

Some poorly written apps I have seen not be as perfectly smooth in scrolling.. especially while also loading data.. but the good apps... are simply beautiful and amazing..

Would be interesting to find out what the differences in power consumption between CDMA and GSM chipsets.. Verizon has traditionally had battery "issues" especially when a device alternates between EVDO and 1X... I dont see that issue so much when my Focus has weak 3g (ie switched to edge).. though admittedly its been a while since I was in marginal coverage.

The batteries do need many cycles before they works well.. personally I think its more the software/OS learning the battery longevity than the battery itself...

I haven't had any issues with slowdowns or "stuttering" on my Trophy and I've been using it a lot since its release. I don't however use the Messenger app. I can usually get about a day out of the phone unless I'm playing a lot of games or something.

I do feel like my battery is lasting a bit longer than it originally did. I've heard (here and elsewhere) that batteries need to be cycled a few times to reach their optimum life and from my experience this seems to be true.
