When a company keeps capitulating like this over and over, they lose all credibility and sales go down to zero.

Why is that? I mean, we complain when companies don't listen, and say that ignoring user feedback will lead to poor sales and alienation of the user base (like with the initial doubling-down on the One's DRM). So, if listening ruins credibility, and ignoring the feedback ruins credibility, what DOESN'T?
