Hololens Worrying Google?

I don't about you but the entire video looked more like a caffeine induced, panicked stricken hyped up commercial disguised as "news". That big A google banner kinda says it all as to who paid CNN for the fake news story.

MS has really got the jump on everyone this time. NASA will be using it in June and I imagine HoloLens will be shipping this fall I imagine.

Yes and just like clockwork, google goes shopping to buy up technology then claim they invented it. Those people are transparent and pathetic at ever. lol. They stole iphones design, Facebook's format and they still ain't satisfied.

Google will create another great invention like the Google glass. Oh wait, that sucked.

Give me an example of some type of technology Google bought, that they turned around and claimed they invented.
I listed two and you missed it so F No. Not going there with you in this forum. Not interested in doing opinion wars with you.

Jazmac, there is one thing to clear.. he is asking for things GOOGLE BOUGHT. ;)
Not STOLEN or INSPIRED

Hmm... But will Google be able to pull off what Microsoft is doing... Making Universal Apps work on HoloLens.
That means Google will have to make Android apps work on that device, and I'm pretty sure they won't be able to do that any time soon.

These people are still raising money for it, and I'll bet it's not going to be out any time soon. HoloLens will already be on the market and entrenching itself as the technology developed with and trusted by NASA.

So far all that's been put out about it to show it off is a "video" that shows off what anyone in Hollywood can put together fairly easily. There is no actual working hardware to be seen as of yet, no prototype, only a goal to achieve this.

I think the video was created after the HoloLens announcement, just to try to get in on the action and to keep from falling behind. If they really want to see something incredible, they should take a look at HoloLens, which already has working prototypes and they are working on production details at this point, not just getting started.

That video doesn't show anything that Hololens 2/3 isn't likely to be capable of in a few years (or today), and Microsoft is much further along with development.

Oh no, it made the internet lose it's mind!

Who writes this stuff...?

Google tried with GoogleGlass ....

MS is targeting business over personal use. Also with all their Xbox technology - I think they will do better...

Interesting things to come ...

Who cares. I am really excited to see what Hololens can do. I really hope the interface is smaller than what MS has shown.

Suddenly over on zdnet an article about google glass and not giving up on it.

Google Glass headset isn't dead, says Eric Schmidt | ZDNet

I was just about to post an article about this from the Wall Street Journal. Haha! Yeah, Google is pretty scared/desperate over that one. One more area of technology that they will be left behind on unless they can buy it from someone else.

Wow! Reading over that list, it appears the only thing Google has (including their search engine technology) that was originally their own idea and developed by them is Google Glass. What an embarrassment for them!

Truer words have never been spoken. Hans Christian Andersen's "The emperor's new clothes" comes to mind.

Difference of course is that Microsoft is already nearly complete with the hardware and software and are demoing units with realistic expectations. With the Magic Leap video I might as well just watch Ghost In The Shell.
