Homemade mp3 downloaded from Outlook email now lost forever?

I've had my Lumia 900 for over a year. Never know what happens to MP3 downloads or anything I get that isn't "officially" supported by MSFT (i.e. podcasts: if it's in the marketplace, cool if not.. lost!). Today I made an mp3 file that I NEED to listen to through my phone. I had the sound engineer email it to my Outlook account. When I touch the attachment, it says downloading and then it DISSAPPEARS!!!!! Where is it? I've searched forums all day at work and now at home and can't find an answer. Thanks in advance for your answer if you have one. I can download it more times, but where do they go? I find PDF downloads in Adobe, but can find this audio file nowhere. Any help out there?

Hi and welcome to WPCentral.

You will not be able to download .mp3 attachments on your 900. You will need to download and save the .mp3 on your PC and then use Zune to transfer it to your music library on the 900.

Another option is to save it to your skydrive and you can access it on your phone from there.
