Windows Phone Internal Storage and OneDrive

I interisting in Lumia 640XL and when i see the internal storage, it only have 8GB. Which is so limited. But have a microSD slot for expansion. And then popping question in my head. how can 8GB internal storage minus operating system use the one drive storage, if in my one drive is already have 4GB file. Is it use internal or use some space in microSD? That's what i want to know before i'm conviced to buy Lumia Phone.

re: Windows Phone Internal Storage and OneDrive

Onedrive is a cloud storage. Everything would get stored in cloud. Neither on your microSD nor on Internal storage. But if u download anything from onedrive, then it takes up internal memory/microSD based on your preference. Onedrive is offering 15GB of cloud storage for free.

There is the option in the settings menu that allows you to decide where all your data goes. I have a Micro SD card in my 1520, and all my music and videos go to the SD card while applications are stored internally as well as pictures.

OneDrive is, as mentioned above, a cloud storage. It downloads the data as needed. So you don't have to worry about that. But in the settings you can configure where the data that is saved is saved to. :)

Hope this helps!
Regards.
