how to upload a linked pdf to onedrive without breaking the link

I have a pdf that has been linked to files. All documents and contents are in one folder. When I upload to Onedrive...the pdf opens at a word doc, the links are gone and the content has to be uploaded individually. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to Windows Central.

I believe the links work because there are links to a file system in your PC. Hence, in order to make the links work. They should be directed at an address referring to the location of the files as you want them to be accessed e.g. if the files are online, then the links should be referring to the folder which is online.
