How do you deal with no glance?

I had glance on my 822, but after having the Lumia icon for a year, I don't really miss it that much.

I had a 920 until last week and now have the 930. I've been without Glance for a little while anyway because it was touch-and-go in various iterations of WM10 TP, and since getting the 930 I hadn't given Glance a second thought until you mentioned it.

I guess Glance was quite a nice idea, but it's just not something I miss (and I was a little unconvinced by it when I had it, to be honest). It's nice to see the time on taking the phone out of your pocket, and doing a little wave over your phone to awake the sensor when the phone was standing-by on your desk was a cute thing, but it's no hardship to just press the phone's Screen On button really.

This app is great - using it on wireless charger. You can use even NFC Tag to program start, so when i put phone on charger it will autostart.

Its good for amoled too because of moving clock so no burnin after long use. Also landscape works... So far so good.

This would be a perfect solution if it would only work together with the sensors. eg when you move the phone or move your hand over it, it turns on the app, like the peak Glance works. As I only need "real glance" during the night to check the time, I dont need clock to be on all the time.

is there such an app or its WP security not making it possible? but im sure devs could make it to work, like showing time when detecting movement, otherwise it shows just a tiny dot on the corner of a screen at very low low brightness?

Ok, after a good nights sleep my mind is clear again and I come up with a very simpl solution :)

Just use lock screen and 100% black photo as a background, that looks almost like glance screen when pressing power so it works for me, also double to wake works, just too bad there is no "peek" option available to turn it on, like it is for glance, but with that I can live :)
