How to lower alarm clock volume?

Okay, I figured this out, just so there's no confusion, here's how it works.
The "secondary" volume, "Media and Apps" controls the initial alarm volume. If you set this low, say 1-2, your alarm will start really quiet, and "build", if you don't dismiss it...

What he said ^^^ ...
Inclined to agree with this, never paid much attention, but have noticed alarm start volume varies.
It increases in volume, as anyone who has set an alarm, which goes off while you're away from your phone, can attest to.

I'm assuming he's tested his hypothesis.

I have the same issue with the app as Mayblast. I'm a light sleeper and even the lowest volume setting or starting volume is WAY to loud making it totally useless for me. I don't want the volume to increase either. So, until MS gives me full control over the volume settings, I'm using free talking alarm clock. This app has never been updated from 8.1 to 10 but it works on 10 as wel. It only needs an update to fix a slight problem with 2 out of 4 clock designs (in 2 some digits are missing making it impossible to read the hour.) But all other functions work just fine on my 950.

Realarm is nice but doesn't work with quiet hours. I hate how tiny the snooze and dismiss bottoms are on all w10m alarms.
