How to remove contacts from a dead Lumia 900

My phone no longer charges and though I have an older backup of the device Im not sure how to access the contacts. Are they accessible thru the Zune software? Are they stored on the SIM or on the internal storage? If on the SIM is there a way to easily extract them?

Well, a brief test reveals that contacts are on the phone's internal storage. Is there any way to extract them (given that the phone is not recognized as a proper USB device (bad port). I have an old device backup (using Zune)-but I dont see a list of contacts there. Any ideas?

If you set up a Windows Live account and have it attached to your phone your contacts are already backed up.

Even i have the same issue , and have tried goinf nokia care, what was the problem with the phone ....
