In Vancouver area we went to an Indian restaurant recommended by the hotel. I had jackfruit kebab there - for the first time in my life and they were absolutely divine. Everyone in the family was just blown away. What a superb vegetarian option to have.

Never had cooked jack fruit before. I usually just eat it as is, but they make sumptuous cold desserts with sago, coconut milk & palm sugar!!! Slurp slurp!

The other cousin of the jackfruit is the cempedak.. its super sweet!! We sometimes deep fry the flesh together with the seed in batter !!! Beats banana fritters hands down!!
