I have the 830

I already mentioned that in my first post. It is less than 2 seconds from dead off to snapping a picture. Super fast.

yup the camera is really fast and i mean fast . i think those who dont like the waiting to snap a picture, this update fixes that

ER yeah that's what I meant. I had a brain malfunction and I thought micro when I wanted to say nano sim

No worries, I wasn't replying because of what you had said before. Actually, someone else said something about cutting down their SIM on page 2 and Wandering Traveler assumed they meant that the 830 takes a micro SIM. I didn't notice anyone clarifying it, so I stepped in.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on a white rm-985 from true-digital on eBay.

From what I've been reading I shouldn't have a problem using this on cricket with lte.
Man am I stoked.

BTW one thing I've noticed from the videos, the Windows backlight keys never lit up on the 830. Can someone confirm?

My RM-985's buttons light up.

Also, thanks to the user that chatted on the phone with Nokia. I can certainly live with it being a bit jittery until the official release!

Just did some speed tests, and interestingly I'm getting faster HSDPA speeds than LTE speeds on my Lumia 1520 on T-Mobile. I might not even switch out my RM-984 for an RM-985 after all. It should be here tomorrow night by the way... I ordered it in orange :excited:

Could you try to long press on lumia camera on the app list and share the link. Maybe we can access the link this way to download... Dream is free hahaha

That was me, yes it takes a Nano. I didn't feel like going to the AT&T store, so I took some scissors to my Micro Sim and cut it.

wait you are getting LTE on ATT. I want to get one unlocked for use on straight talk but I was told unlocked versions dont have LTE. Anyone know how to get one unlocked with LTE?

There have been a couple people that purchased the RM-985 unlocked 830 from eBay and have successfully been able to use lte on att.

where did you buy the RM-984 from? i thought the ones on ebay were RM-985?

Also -
can someone confirm - the sim type required is the NANO sim? (same as the iphone 5s?)

Plenty of vendors sell the RM-984, both independently and on EBay, including Expansys-USA. I got mine on Ebay though. The only RM-985s available are the prototypes mentioned that do not include retail packaging, Glance, Denim, or the new camera improvements (yet). Only the seller truedigital is offering those. Everything else is the RM-984.

See if you get LTE after putting in the correct APN settings for TMO on the RM-984 version....

Hmm, thanks for the tip but doesn't T-Mobile only run on LTE band 4 (1700/2100MHz)? The RM-984 only supports bands 1, 3, 7, 8 and 20.

So the 830 gets about 10fps (1145 score) in the GFX Bench 2.5 HD offscreen test. An HTC 8X (S4) gets about 7.4fps (835 score). That's 37% better. An HTC 8XT (S400, dual core) gets 9.4fps (1062 score), so the 830 is about 8% better than that. I think this is fine and we shouldn't be worried about it.

So my 928 it's getting this on the benchmark test. I still want the 830 but am just curious why it's so much different.
