IE pseudo-dead pixels but looks fine elsewhere. How do I fix it?

I've recently noticed that my Surface 2 appears to have a dead pixel (maybe more, the square looks larger than an individual pixel). At first I just was going to get in contact with the Surface support people and see if I could get a replacement under warranty, but after continuing to use for a while I'm not sure if its actually a dead pixel.

This only seems to occur in Metro IE, and I cannot seem to replicate the 'dead' pixels under any other circumstance. I've tried solid colour pictures in both Metro IE and the stock pictures app and the white square only seems to appear IE.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the exact same issue as this appears to be a software thing rather than a hardware thing.

Is this on a Windows RT device or a Windows 8 one?

Incidentally, the pixels have moved position now, so I'm certain that this is a software issue. Also happens if you have Metro IE snapped with another app.
