I was planning on waiting for WP8 to make the switch from Blackberry. Well, my wife needed a new phone and I nudged her towards WP. I'll admit a lot of that was for me to be able to play with one. I got her a Focus Flash a few days ago, and I've like it so much, I ordered another one for myself.

The new Lumia's look great, but I'm thinking the screen might be a bit too big for me (for now). The Flash's screen is just about perfect for my tastes. That of course may change with time.

I think the FF will hold me over long enough for the W8 to arrive.

Welcome bpgar, although from your post count, it looks like you've beeen hanging for a while. I've actually been seduced by a Blackberry PlayBook, and am considering a BB for a backup or something. But, I am with WP7,8,etc for better or for worse because my Zune Pass is still my true love --and, I've learned I do need And want that on my phone.

As far as the playbook goes. I have one, and the new OS is a million times better. However, it eliminates the need for the BB to go with it (and having a BB results in duplicate emails unless you shut off the email bridge).

I don't think I'll miss much by not having a BB anymore.

Hmm... I can see that; I really welcome your experienced perspective. I do want to read up on the post-2.0 bridging thoughts and experiences, but the new Print (to the PlayBook) feature, for one, allowing one to quickly bridge and view a phone-received document on the PlayBook (when it's not connected) sounds great. Anyway, I have a lot to learn and enjoy, and thanks.
