When I receive a package from Ontario, California, today containing a replacement Band 2 and new charging cord (great now I have four). Eight days ago, I went to the local MS Store with my Band 2 that would no longer charge (band cracking) and based on everything I'd read here, I was expecting a check from MS.

At the store, they initiated the return and all I needed to do was put the band in the mailing envelope. That was just eight days ago!!!

While I did have the extended warranty through MS, I figured inventory had been depleted. I was so confident, when it died I went out and purchased a Garmin Vivosmart HR+. While I miss the Band 2 display, I have grown to like the HR+. Seeing as it can still be returned to BestBuy, I'm thinking I may do that and ride this Band for as long as it lasts. Best thing about this experience it the way MS made good on the device.
 
Directly from the MS Store. Walked-in, logged the issue and prepared the shipping label.
 
I had a similar experience. I messaged with support two Fridays ago. I mailed it to them that Friday. They warned me stock was low/non-existent and I should expect a refund. I received a brand new Band 2 in the mail the following Friday. That was fast!
 
You should check up with support. See my comment below. Turnaround time from messaging with support to receiving a new band in the mail was 7 days.
 
I have followed up with support once a week after the 1st week, since last July, I got my replacement 5 days after I sent it out. every response is the same, low stock, possible refund.

Same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago. The funnier part is I thought my band was out of warranty but, when I called, it was only under warranty for 3 days... So send it in and had it back in 6 days... I was shocked on how quick it came back.
