Installed 8.0.10521.155 and my apps crash to start screen

This update was released before black, I think you guys have recently installed preview for developers, am i right ?

I just experienced this today after installing the 8.0.10521.155 update on my Lumia 928. The first indication something was wrong was when my two-factor authentication app crashed when I needed to get a code from it. I then discovered that all apps installed from the store were crashing. Adding an additional keyboard language fixed everything. Thank you very much for posting this information, Yevolution!

Edit: As colinkiama suggested, I did just register for the Preview for Developers today in anticipation of the upcoming 8.1 release. Version 8.0.10521.155 was available and I installed it. Indeed, the data migration did not occur automatically.

This update doesn't complete the final part - the "Almost done" screen.

In a nutshell - Install a new keyboard language and this will force the OS to update all of the apps.
I'm doing this right now, but the feedback in the above link is positive.

It doesn't do anything to the apps. It triggers a recompile of the application framework if necessary which then allows the apps to work; but it doesn't actually touch the apps themselves, nor perform any sort of updating of apps.
